My name is Abby Harnack, and I am from Bowling Green, Kentucky. I have attended Campbellsville University for my entire college career. After completing student teaching, I will graduate in May with a degree in Elementary Education. My first student teaching placement was at Kentucky Christian Academy with first grade teacher, Linda Ward. My second placement is at Taylor County Intermediate School with fourth grade math teacher, Marchetta Garrison. Linda Ward's classroom is self-contained, and Marchetta Garrison's classroom is self-paced.
I have always preferred the self-contained classroom. All the academic subjects excite me. I want the time to develop individual relationships with my students. So, I was overjoyed to accept a 2nd grade teaching position in a self-contained environment. Once I graduate, I will be moving to Rutherford County, Tennessee to begin preparing my classroom for August. Rock Springs Elementary School is 30 minutes south of Nashville, Tennessee. I am so thrilled to begin this journey!
Baking, crafting, volunteering, spending time outdoors, reading, and shopping at yard sales are some of my favorite activities. I enjoy tutoring and strengthening the skills of children with special needs. Various types of mission work inspire and challenge me. Most of all, I cherish the time I spend in the mornings with my Father. How encouraging it is to know that He will continue to lead me on this crazy, wonderful, beautiful adventure of mine!

I had the opportunity to teach these students of Faith Roots International Academy during my mission trip to Ghana, Africa.
I have worked with Kennedy for two summers. We practice reading, math, and everyday life skills. She has been diagnosed with cerebral palsy.
Meliah has been diagnosed with tuberous sclerosis. I have cared for her the last three summers. We work on feeding, behavioral, physical, speech, developmental and occupational therapy goals.
These are some of the beautiful people I have had the privilege of sharing the love of Christ with for the last six years through a ministry known as Curbside.
